Hallie Schauer began her nursing career after completing her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) in May 1996 from Montana State University in Billings, MT. Following this, she pursued further education at the same institution, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in May 1998. Hallie began at The Woodwell Nursing Home in Pittsburgh, PA, where she served as an RN Charge Nurse from 1996 to 1997. In this role, she managed a 30-bed skilled nursing facility, demonstrating exceptional skills in delivering acute care and handling complex medical procedures. Her dedication to her patients and ability to lead and manage care effectively was evident from the beginning of her career.
In 1997, Hallie took a significant step in her career by joining the Deaconess Medical Center (now part of Billings Clinic) in Billings, MT, as a Registered Nurse. Here, she specialized in Oncology, a field that would become one of her areas of expertise. She was responsible for managing chemotherapy and radiation regimens, responding to emergencies, and providing critical care for chemotherapy side effects until 2000.
Hallie continued her work at St. Vincent's Hospital in Billings, MT, from 2000 to 2013. Her versatility and commitment to patient care were highlighted through her service in Orthopedics, Surgery Plus for pre and post-surgery care, and as relief support in the Infusion Unit, Walk-in Clinic, and Plasmapheresis. Her ability to adapt and provide comprehensive care across different units showcased her professionalism and dedication to nursing.
Since May 2018, Hallie has been affiliated with the Welch Cancer Center in Sheridan, WY, as an RN/PRN. During the peak of the Covid crisis, she volunteered full-time at the Covid Testing Center, addressing urgent staffing needs and showcasing her commitment to community health. She continued to provide PRN support in the Infusion Unit and was instrumental in operational support during the setup of a new facility.
Hallie Schauer is an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) with certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). These certifications underscore her expertise and readiness to provide the best care possible to her patients.
Beyond her professional duties, Hallie has a significant presence in volunteer work. She serves as the President of the Powderhorn Ladies Golf Association and organizes fundraising events for the Welch Cancer Center and Relay for Life walks.
